Trip begins

This trip begins with a flight to Barcelona but the journey began a long time ago. The idea of spending  a summer in Europe was born of the want to be any where but here. The here I was thinking about at the time was Carlsbad California. I later understood that the here I was wanting to leave from was my self. I wanted a change. I wanted the newness of different surrounding and adventure. What I did not know is that I was about to begin the adventure of self discovery. I had wanted to leave and be on my own in some other country in order to find peace. What happen instead was I stayed put and surrounded my self with a growing group of support. Dear friends and a counselor I adore who all nudged me down a path in which I learnt to see my self as they saw me. That learning is ongoing but I see better these days.  On this path I also found the enjoyment of spending time alone and the grounding bliss that comes from being still and quiet.  In the last week before leaving, I spent time with some of my circle of friends and was struck by the depth of community I have and the loving tender support they all exhibit. I am so very grateful.

So now with bags packed, house rented, I leave for the next part of the adventure. A want to be known in a foreign land, as I continue to get to know my self. I am open to whatever the Divine has in store for me as She delights in laying out the path ahead.
